From eLearning DevCon:
eLearning DevCon 2010 – Call for Presentations
Round 2 Deadline March 1, 2010
We have now begun Round 2 of our presentation proposal process. We are accepting new proposals to present at The eLearning Developers Conference to be held June 16-18, 2010. As the name suggests, this conference specifically targets e-learning developers and development topics.
NOTE: If you have already submitted a proposal, you do not need to submit again.
We will be accepting around 40 – 50 proposals in this second round; the deadline to submit a proposal is March 1.
As in our previous events (this is eLearning DevCon’s seventh year), we have organized this conference with three rules in mind:
* No fluff
* No high prices
* Focus on developmentThis unique approach has met with resounding approval from the previous participants. Here is just one of the dozens of positive comments made by those who attended previously (read other testimonials at the end of this message).
“Just want to say THANKS, it was great! We were so energized by the conference, we can’t wait to start trying some of the new things we learned… DevCon…was by far the best conference I’ve ever attended for learning practical applications that can be put into use right away. I came away with the ‘how-to’ and not just theory.” L.S. from Cuna Mutual
This comment underscores what we look for in presentations, how-to and not just theory. If you’ve done it, or know how to do it, chances are other e-learning developers like you want to know too.
If your proposal is submitted by March 1 (and later accepted), as a thank you, you will receive
* A full conference pass (valued at $899)
* All meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinnerPotential Topics
Although the focus of the conference is on development, we will also consider proposals on related topics. While we will consider any topic you have expertise in that you want to share, here are some topic areas that we recommend:
ProForm (formerly named Flashform), Articulate, Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Adobe Air, Swish, Breeze, Captivate, Lectora, Unison, Atlantic Link, Suddenly Smart, Instructional Design, Project Management, Mobile eLearning, Games in eLearning, Simulation Building, Dreamweaver, CourseBuilder, Database Connectivity, LMSes, new tools on the market, SCORM, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Section 508 Compliance, W3C Standards, JavaScript, ActionScript, ASP, Fireworks, Illustrator, Visual Design, Web 2.0.
Need more ideas? Take a look at the 2009 session list.
We had over seventy different session topics at the 2009 event! Don’t miss this opportunity.We hope you can join our dynamic team of presenters at e-Learning DevCon 2010!

“Thanks again to you and your fabulous team for hosting this one of a kind conference and trust me, I plan to tell anyone and everyone that will listen (and do what we do) about this forum.” D.N. from State of Wisconsin
“The conference was like no other. I have been to other conferences where if you walk away feeling that 50% of what was presented was for you, it was a good conference. But DevCon 2004 was like candy to the kid with 90% applicability– the other 10% was because I am not a programmer but even some of that was making sense. Keep up the good work. I also really enjoyed the Flash pre-class.” D.C. from Alltel
“The presenters all seemed knowledgeable and I enjoyed the variety of topics…” B.B. from New Mexico State University
“I learned something in every session!” D.R. from Animatrix
“Best conference I’ve attended out of 10 conferences I’ve attended in the last four years. A great conference.” S.F. from NovaStar
“I really enjoyed the ‘learning’ format of the conference. I’ve gotten much more information in 1.5 days than I’ve gotten in the last 2 ‘conferences’ I’ve attended.” D.S. from Iron Mountain
“Each hour offered well rounded topic choices; good variety for all levels.” C.B. from State of Oregon Department of Human Services
