<h3>JOB DESCRIPTION</h3>
<p>Responsible for collaborating with programmers, engineers and project management to fully document the technical processes, methods and standards of game engine tool set.</p>
<h3>LOCATION</h3>
<p>The job location is the Disney Office (a video game studio) in downtown Salt Lake City. The office has more than 250 employees.</p>
<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Create, edit and maintain technical documentation for current and future applications (including technical reference manuals and online wiki documentation).</li>
<li>Create, edit and maintain procedural documentation (including departmental policies, procedures, and user guides).</li>
<li>Analyze requirements to determine the type of documentation required.</li>
<li>Develop documentation project plans and timelines, in conjunction with the project management team.</li>
<li>Develop internal standards, style guides and document management plans to support technical business units/functions.</li>
<li>Maintain documentation standards and keep abreast of current information by associating with professional individuals or societies, or by reviewing professional publications, newsletters, e-mail, blogs and other websites.</li>
<li>Research and include in documentation available technical resources, and drawings as well as identify necessary additional drawings, network diagrams to fully document the systems.</li>
<li>Interview subject matter specialists and engineering groups to define and provide accurate technical information to accomplish goals in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Write complex technical information with clear and concise language communication skills</li>
<li>Determine information needs and select effective methods and techniques of developing a variety of technical documentation, including maintenance, control system operating and manufacturer manuals.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned by the Manager.</li>
</ul>
<h3>QUALIFICATIONS</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years experience as a technical writer</li>
<li>( programming / CS experience a plus)</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, Acrobat Professional, Confluence and HTML.</li>
<li>Understanding of PHP, MySQL, C++,Javascript, Linux, ActionScript,.</li>
<li>Experience with project management tools and software preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Technical Publications or equivalent work experience</li>
</ul>
<h3>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</h3>
<ul>
<li>Effective communicator and active listener.</li>
<li>Able to structure templates that are easy to update for style and content.</li>
<li>Able to apply efficiency principles to document design.</li>
<li>Able to write clear, concise documentation in an informal language.</li>
<li>Understands the technology project life cycle.</li>

Reporting to the Director of Customer Satisfaction, the key responsibility of the Technical Writer is to create end user documentation and web support articles for Iomega’s family of network products. In addition, develop and deliver training, help with customer support escalations, and complete projects assigned by manager.</p>

<li>Create HTML- and print-based end user documentation for Iomega’s family of network products</li>
<li>Develop on-line content for the Iomega Support website</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The team is responsible for the creative design and print production of sales and marketing literature for the US Institutional, Third Party and Product channels.</p>
<p>Creative Services comprises of Desk Top Publishing and Graphic Design specialists responsible for the following functions:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creates/formats brochures, reference guides, research papers, product profiles, commentaries, campaign materials, quarterly/monthly marketing documents, surveys and other ad-hoc requests from sales/marketing professionals</li>
<li>Develops and designs graphics and layouts for various presentations and communications for the Institutional, Third Party Marketing and Product channels</li>
<li>Works with sales/marketing professionals to meet end goals, provides suggestions, attends project meetings and becomes familiar with goals and objectives</li>
<li>Manages the production process – with a focus on efficiency and accuracy</li>
<li>Identifies and works with external vendors to make sure the print production process is satisfactory and within budget constraints</li>
<li>Applies company design guidelines to all marketing materials to ensure consistent messaging and branding and develops templates to be consistent with same</li>
</ul>
<p>This professional is responsible for responding to requests from the firm’s consultants, and sales/marketing professionals for desktop support in a timely manner while ensuring that documents maintain a visually attractive appearance. Requests for graphic support include RFPs, pitchbook presentations, consultant requests, publications, surveys and other ad hoc requests. Responsibilities also include maintenance of the templates used by the Marketing department as well as formatting documents to the company’s branding standards. The successful candidate must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to meet project demands and possess a high degree of service orientation with an ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment.</p>
<p>Principal Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creates/formats RFPs, Slide/Book Presentations, Research Papers, quarterly marketing documents, forms and ad-hoc data information requests from sales/marketing professionals</li>
<li>Develops and designs graphics and layouts for various presentations and communications</li>
<li>Ensures that company standards are maintained on all material and develops templates to be consistent with same</li>
<li>Monitors Microsoft Outlook for incoming job requests from professionals in the Asset Management group</li>
<li>Fields questions from research analysts and sales/marketing professionals</li>
<li>Assists with the implementation of new standards when necessary</li>
<li>Innovates improvements in departmental procedures to increase efficiency and quality</li>
<li>Assists in the management of the group’s marketing literature, archive databases and print production</li>
<li>Performs other functions or projects and assumes additional responsibilities as requested.</li>
</ul>
<p>Experience / Skills / Systems Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Advanced knowledge of MS Office 2007 and MapInfo Professional software</li>
<li>Medium level of comfort with Macintosh and Adobe design programs</li>
<li>Strong visual skills, logical, with an excellent attention to detail and accuracy</li>
<li>Solid analytic skills with an ability to distill and enter financial data for monthly/quarterly reporting</li>
<li>Excellent design capabilities; creative with strong technical skills</li>
<li>Ability to multitask, handle changing priorities quickly and work well under timeframe pressure</li>
<li>Good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with others to accomplish an objective</li>
<li>Professional demeanor with a sense of humor and maturity</li>
<li>Interest in the Asset Management business, and sales/marketing process</li>
