Position

The technical writer must work collaboratively on a documentation team sometimes working on multiple projects simultaneously to meet software release deadlines. Experience using a Linux OS and documenting command line (non-GUI) procedures is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain administrator and user manuals for complex software applications
• Use an XML and HTML editor to generate technical documentation
• Produce publication-ready content quickly
• Conduct product documentation technical and peer review
• Collaborate with other technical writers
• Produce diagrams and other graphics

Qualifications

• Proficiency in extracting subject matter expert knowledge and conveying it meaningfully in a task-based help system
• Prior experience with single-sourcing using XML for content creation and delivery
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product documentation

Knowledge of/familiarity with Real Estate Development (specifically Commercial Real Estate)

Provo-based mgmt company (virtual offices from Provo to Alpine)

The prospective candidate would be responsible for all proposal content (some existing). This would include drafting, formatting, revising, and publishing  proposals focused on municipal and hospitality real estate development projects.

Specific experience with proposal writing is required. The position requires excellent writing, editing, organization and document design skills.

This is a contract position currently with possibility of full-time employment in the future.

Candidate must be a self-starter; will work independently most of the time. Will work virtually, being available for meetings, document reviews, etc.
